For over a year, I have been trying to find / design a FUNCTIONAL box light strap. I have found that none of the current straps on the market met my needs, mainly because they were not quickly adjustable. During some operations such as advancing a hose line or climbing a ladder it is nice to have the light cinched tight to my body for control. But for search operations the ability to extend the light out in front when chest down on the floor looking under the smoke layer is very beneficial. So, I came up with a hybrid design that combines the benefits of as leather strap with the adjustability of modern synthetic materials. Able to quick adjust over 8 inches it allows you to change how the strap fits on the fly. A Cobra type buckle also allows for a simple, low profile quick release, while heavy duty HK sling clips keep your light securely attached to the strap. 10 oz English Bridle Leather section of the strap can be personalized.
